Our next Industry Roadtrip “Boutique Consulting” is on Wednesday, June 16th at 12 pm ET. Our panelists will be Dr. Kawanda Foster and Dr. Neil Rath – scroll down to read their bios. Beza will be the moderator for this session.

Kawanda Foster, Ph.D. was born and raised in Tampa, FL. She obtained a BS in Biology from the University of Miami, a MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University, and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. Her doctoral research focused on studying the defense mechanisms and characterizing the enzymes of Type III CRISPR-Cas systems in bacteria and archaea. Kawanda currently resides in the Atlanta Metro area and is a senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a senior consultant, she currently works as a business analyst with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Kawanda utilizes her scientific background to support a team of 10 tasked with developing customer relationship management-based solutions for public health laboratories as part of the agency’s data modernization initiative. During her free time, Kawanda enjoys making arts and crafts, traveling with her partner, serving as deputy chair of the ATL Booz Allen diversity, equity, and inclusion committee, playing video games, visiting museums, and playing with her two cats – Blaze & Whisky.

Neil Rath, Ph.D. is an experienced consultant at ZS Associates focused on strategy, operations, and implementation. He supports clients in getting products and services through the entire life cycle and out towards the target population. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from UCLA in Biomedical Engineering and B.S. from Georgia Tech in Biomedical Engineering and Technology and Management. Neil enjoys and strives to be an effective leader, mentor, and coach and is excited to help individuals achieve their professional goals and aid those interested transition into industry.
